Slovenia - A European Fairy Tale
Nestled in the heart of Europe, Slovenia is the traveller’s best-hidden secret with something for all the family; vineyards, ski-slopes, watersports, castles & international cuisine.
I have had the pleasure of working in this stunning country a few times over my years in Events and I have to say it truly is one of my favourite and the ideal location for a Destination Wedding.
Direct flights to the capital of Ljubljana start from £150 departing from London Gatwick, Luton & Stansted. Taking just 2 hours it really couldn’t be easier to reach this cultural hub. If you’re travelling from Europe no visa is required & train services run direct to neighbouring countries and cities.
There is an abundance of activities for the keen adventurer including cave exploring, horse riding & hiking across Triglav National Park, cycling tours & water sports in the crystal waters of the Adriatic.
The climate in Slovenia varies each season with temperatures reaching over 20 degrees in the summer months between June & August. In the winter months it can drop to below 0 degrees, making Lake Bled the perfect ice rink!
If you’re after a vibrant food scene and want to spoil your Wedding guests then Slovenia has it all, with culinary accents taken from bordering countries Austria, Italy, Croatia & Hungry. There are a great selection of Hotels offering Wedding packages both in the City and by the Lakes.
A private dining room at Hotel Triglav on Lake Bled with stunning views of the Lake is just one option!
This delightful country is steeped in architectural history, culture and beauty. Here are just a few of our top locations, and where we can arrange for you to say 'I do', but the possibilities are endless.
· Lake Bled & its medieval Gothic castle
· The Dragon Bridge
· Postojna Cave
· Triglav National Park
· Ljubljana Old Town
If you’re after a perfect romantic Destination Wedding in Slovenia then the Apline resort of Bled with its stunning lake and Bled Castle are sure to take your breath away. Throughout the year the beauty of the Lake and its surroundings can be enjoyed, with boat trips, swimming & even tobogganing on Straza Bled!
After relaxing at the Lake you can take a short journey to the Old Town, which translates to ‘The Loved One’, where you can walk round in the city of Ljubljana.
