I feel so lucky each time a couple ask me for me help with their Wedding, not only because I get to be part of such a monumental and magical day for them but I also get to know them on a personal level and become friends with the couple and their families.
This couldn't be more true for the Wedding of Rachel & Josh I'll be sharing with you today. Rachel approached me at the end of 2015 about my partial planning package and I was delighted to be able to help. In June this year surrounded by their loved ones she married her childhood sweetheart Josh in a truly romantic & rustic English country setting in Bedfordshire.
The couple started their day with their nearest and dearest getting ready at their parents homes. Nicola Norton arrived and quietly photographed the excitement! Rachel and her bridesmaids travelled to Elstow to have their hair styled before returning to Felmersham for make-up by Sweet Lemon Beauty. Rachel's stunning gown from Morilee was lovingly laced up by Rachel's mother.
Josh and his groomsmen prepared for the day in Turvey, with Josh honouring his family tradition by donning a kilt.
Upon arrival fresh Pimms & prosecco and canapés were served in the decorated apple orchard over looking the lake. Garden games entertained the little children and guests gave a cheer as Josh gave his new wife a hand from the family vintage jaguar they journeyed in.
The main barn was transformed with a generous marquee structure by D&D Marquee Hire seamlessly covering the barn entrance making space for the 100 guests and complete with a traditional bar. Soft blush coloured paper lanterns complimented the barns natural beams, stunning floral arrangements by Fleurette flowers scattered the barn and a wall of fairy lights gave the perfect ambience.
Guests enjoyed a Wedding breakfast prepared by Cloverdale catering whilst enjoying wines hand selected by the couple.
With many memorable experiences shared in locations across the UK, Rachel & Josh thoughtfully added colourful hand drawings with names of their favourite locations to the tables. Designed by Love Lucy Illustration.
The rustic candled centre pieces were surrounded by a stunning soft floral wreath designed by the wonderful team at Fleurette flowers, tea lights and cute Japanese love notes. For favours guests were gifted with home made miniature sloe gin bottles prepared by the couple themselves.
Paloma, Rachel's friend and cake designer lovingly prepared a three tiered Wedding cake with a selection of flavours throughout. This was cut using a hand graved cake knife personally sourced by Rachel.
A sweet table borrowed from Rachel's bridesmaid fit perfectly into the marquee complimenting the Wedding theme & decor with aptly coloured sweets.
Outside in the picturesque courtyard Speedough Pizzas prepared and served fresh Pizzas that were simply amazing.
Rachel, Josh & their loved ones danced late into the night to celebrate their becoming one with a free bar of beers, wines and spirits flowing. It truly was the Wedding dreams are made of!
